This policy explains what personal information Memora collects, why, and what your rights are. Memora is a trading name of a sole trader based in England, and we are the data controller for your information. Contact: cefandjub@gmail.com.

What we collect

  • When you order: your name, email address, delivery address and, if you choose to give it, phone number. Payment is handled by Shopify's payment processors. We never see or store your full card details.
  • If you sign up to emails: your email address and when you signed up.
  • If you contact us: your name, email address and your message.
  • When you browse: basic technical information such as your device, browser, IP address and pages viewed, collected through cookies. See our Cookie policy.

We only ask for what we need. We don't ask for your date of birth, gender or anything else we don't need to deliver your order.

Why we use it, and our legal basis

  • To process and deliver your order and handle returns: to perform our contract with you.
  • To keep records for tax and accounting: to meet our legal obligations.
  • To prevent fraud and keep the store secure: our legitimate interests.
  • To send marketing emails: only with your consent. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and you can withdraw consent at any time.
  • Analytics and advertising cookies: only with your consent through our cookie banner.

Who we share it with

  • Shopify, which hosts our store and processes payments.
  • CJdropshipping, our supplier, which receives your name, delivery address and phone number (if given) so it can pack and send your order. It's based in China.
  • Delivery companies, to deliver your parcel.
  • Advertising and analytics partners (such as Meta, TikTok and Google), only if you accept those cookies.

We never sell your personal information.

International transfers

Some of these providers are outside the UK, including in Canada, the USA and China. Where your information leaves the UK, we rely on the safeguards those providers offer, such as UK-approved contract clauses, or on the transfer being necessary to deliver your order.

How long we keep it

  • Order records: 6 years, as required for tax purposes.
  • Email marketing: until you unsubscribe.
  • Messages to us: up to 2 years after we last hear from you.

Children

Our store is for adults. You must be 18 or over to order or sign up to our emails. We don't knowingly collect information about anyone under 18. If you think a child has given us their information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct or delete your information, to object to or restrict how we use it, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To make a request, use our data request page or email cefandjub@gmail.com. We'll reply within one month. It's free.

Complaints

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please contact us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
